Title:
Exchanging expertise and resources in environmental archaeology
Project Outcomes:
This project set out to exchange expertise and resources in Environment Archaeology for mutual benefit across teaching, research and staff development. Four workshops were undertaken, plus an additional two with Historic England to explore how we could increase and enable the mutual use of our collections and expertise for the benefits of our students and research cultures.
This resulted in £19.5k of funding being received from Historic England to build a national reference collection, the intention being to link up all university reference collections in virtual format. A number of training sessions have been held at both universities, involving the sharing of joint teaching materials. The research also underpinned a Leverhulme Postdoctoral Research Fellowship.
