RMS - Light Microscopy Facility Managers Meeting

Joëlle Goulding, Compare Research Fellow in Advanced Microscopy, University of Nottingham and Jeremy Pike, Research Fellow in Image Analysis, University of Birmingham, from the COMPARE Imaging Team both presented at the Royal Microscopical Society (RMS) Light Microscopy Facility Managers meeting on the 4th - 5th January 2018 held at The Francis Crick Institute. Deidre Kavanagh, Birmingham COMPARE Microscope Officer was also in attendance. This was the 11th annual meeting and with 160+ attendees comprised of facility managers, imaging specialists and commercial representatives. 

Joëlle's presentation was entitled "COMPARE - a unique collaboration" and Jeremy's "Image analysts in facilities: Training, collaboration and infrastructure". Both presentations were well received, eliciting questions during and after the sessions. The recently advertised PhD positions were promoted alongside the Light Sheet Microscopy workshop due to take place in February.
