Noemi Karsai
Congratulations to Noemi Karsai on her PhD defense
We are pleased to announce that Noemi Karsai successfully defended her PhD on Friday 13th of September. Congratulations Dr Noemi!
As an ONCORNET2.0 ECR, Noemi’s work has focused on understanding the plasma membrane organisation of the chemokine receptors CXCR4 and ACKR3 using advanced spectroscopy approaches. Her work has resulted in a new understanding of how these receptors are differentially distributed and trafficked to and from the plasma membrane. During her PhD Noemi has worked collaboratively with many members of COMPARE, in particular Dr Joelle Golding, in the setup of FCS and FRAP approaches to constitutively internalising receptors, which are not uniquely located at the cell surface.
Noemi’s PhD supervisors were Prof Meritxell Canals, Dr Stephen Briddon, Prof Steve Hill and Dr Laura Kilpatrick.
Noemi’s examiners were Prof Moritz Bunemann and Prof Jeanette Woolard.
