Title:
Transforming Assessment Culture Through Improved Assessment Literacty (TransACTIAL)
Project:
As a sector, assessment in engineering continues to be largely traditional, with limited adoption of the diverse methods now available. As a result, staff can spend a disproportionate length of time on assessment, and students do not always feel they benefit from this approach.
This project aims to improve the educational experience of students in Engineering by transforming the traditional assessment culture, ensuring it keeps pace with technical and pedagogic developments.
TransACTIAL will enhance the adoption of e-assessment by Engineering academics by developing innovative assessment tools and question types to probe student understanding and extend problem solving skills.
