Collaboration Masterclass - 13 September 2017

Collaborative Leadership Within Your University

Who is it aimed at?

This masterclass is aimed at operational level staff from across both universities who want to strengthen their collaborative leadership skills so that they can effectively lead beyond departmental boundaries, break down silos and provide a more distributed and shared approach to innovation and service transformation.

Aims and learning outcomes

This masterclass is a practical, hands-on session where participants will have the opportunity to strengthen their skills in collaborating with different departments within their respective organisation, break down silos and develop their collaborative leadership skills.

The masterclass aims to:

  • provide practical hands-on tools and techniques on collaborative leadership, supporting operational leaders within each University to exploit the opportunities for learning, research and knowledge transfer through in house collaboration
  • provide practical guidance on how to lead through relationships
  • help identify the strategic contexts for collaboration between departments, silos and management that can reduce duplication of effort and budgets
  • help leverage internal stakeholder interest and appetite for transformation through in-house collaboration
  • develop and nurture a culture of collaborative working within your University
